Depuis son annonce initiale, Nintendo mentionne que sa prochaine console, la Nintendo Switch 2 sera compatible avec les jeux de la Nintendo Switch, autant en version téléchargeable qu’en boîte. Nous avons mis la main sur la liste qui montre les jeux qui posent problème, les jeux qui ne le sont pas du tout et quelques titres qui le seront via une mise à jour. La liste sera maintenue à jour progressivement.

Le 2 avril, Nintendo a confirmé que la prise en charge de la rétrocompatibilité était limitée et a fourni une liste de plus de 100 jeux qui, à compter du lancement de la NS2 le 05 juin, pourraient ne pas fonctionner avec la nouvelle console. La plupart d’entre eux sont listés comme ayant des « problèmes de compatibilité » que les développeurs « étudient actuellement ». Le seul jeu dont Nintendo dit carrément qu’il ne fonctionnera pas est le Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04 : VR Kit. Cet ensmeble nécessite d’insérer la tablette Switch dans le dispositif Toy-Con, et la tablette NS2 est plus grande que la Switch originale. Elle ne rentrera tout simplement pas. Nintendo n’a pas indiqué quand les jeux présentant des problèmes de compatibilité pourraient fonctionner sans problème sur la NS2, ou si ça se fera un jour.

Jeux Nintendo Switch avec mises à jour gratuites pour NS2:

À partir du 02 avril, Nintendo prévoit des mises à jour Switch 2 gratuites pour 12 jeux lancés sur la Switch originale. Nintendo n’a pas précisé les améliorations que chaque jeu recevra, mais a indiqué qu’elles pourraient inclure de meilleures performances et la prise en charge d’éléments tels que GameShare.
